Zinc Plating

Why Choose Zinc Plating

  • Sacrificial Protection: Zinc is "sacrificial," meaning it will corrode before the base metal underneath does, effectively acting as a bodyguard for your jewelry.
  • Eco-Friendly Performance: Modern zinc plating is a sustainable alternative to older heavy-metal finishes, offering high performance with a lower environmental impact.
  • Superior Adhesion: It creates a powerful bond with base metals like steel and brass, ensuring the finish won't chip or flake even with heavy use.
  • The Look of Steel: Provides the crisp, cool aesthetic of stainless steel or white gold at a much more accessible price point.

Our Zinc Finishes

  • Bright Zinc Plating: The most common variety, offering a clear, bluish-silver luster that resembles chrome or polished steel. It provides an excellent, uniform shine for modern and industrial-style accessories.
  • Yellow Zinc Plating (Zinc Chromate): Features a distinct iridescent, golden-rainbow hue. While it offers even higher corrosion resistance than bright zinc, it is typically chosen for its unique, multi-colored metallic aesthetic.
  • Black Zinc Plating: A deep, olive-drab to black finish that provides a rugged, non-reflective surface. This is a popular choice for "stealth" designs or masculine jewelry collections that require a dark, tactical look.

Acid Zinc Plating: Known for providing the highest level of brilliance and leveling. This process ensures that even pieces with minor surface imperfections end up with a smooth, mirror-like finish
